Weapons:
The U.S. Cellular Center prohibits possession, sale, or distribution of any items that may be considered a dangerous weapon. This includes but is not limited to firearms, knives, razor blades, metallic knuckles, nightsticks, explosives, darts, and arrows. No projectile weapons including water guns, cap guns, or ping pong guns are allowed. Please note: also prohibited are some cosplay items, including: awesome ninja weapons, wicked dwarven axes, wolverine claws, smoke bombs, and batarangs. No functional weapons are permitted. Only wooden and plastic replica weapons are allowed at Asheville Comic Expo. Security must inspect costume weapons upon entry. Cosplay is NOT consent. Keep your hands to yourself. If you would like to take a photograph of or with someone in a costume, please always ask for permission and respect their right to say no. Furthermore, do not stop in crowded hallways, doorways, or stairwells for taking pictures.
IF YOU FEEL UNSAFE OR HARASSED PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT AN ASHEVILLE COMIC EXPO VOLUNTEER OR STAFF MEMBER. YOUR CONCERNS WILL BE TAKEN VERY SERIOUSLY AND HANDLED WITH CARE.
